FAQs

Depending on whether you are shipping dangerous goods by road (ADR), rail (RID), sea (IMDG Code) or air (IATA-DGR), there are different requirements and regulations. In air transport (IATA-DGR), the requirements are very strict and you must complete a refresher training every 24 months. The ADR, RID and the IMDG Code prescribe training courses at regular intervals. As these rules and regulations are updated every 24 months, it is also advisable to take part in dangerous goods training every 2 years.

Every person involved in the dangerous goods process requires instruction. These are, for example, employees who pack, label and mark, prepare documents or carry out the transport itself. However, responsible employees who create specifications and work aids such as checklists also require regular instruction in accordance with the relevant dangerous goods regulations.

The cost of dangerous goods training can vary depending on the scope. Our online training according to 1.3 ADR costs 139 euros for a license. You can see the costs for all other courses at the top of this page.

Dangerous goods are substances, objects and mixtures that may pose a risk to public safety, people or the environment during transportation. This includes, for example, corrosive substances, flammable substances or infectious substances. The transportation of these substances is considered as a dangerous goods transport and the persons involved require appropriate training in dangerous goods law.
